Layer: CoastalErosion (ID: 2)

Name: CoastalErosion

Display Field: Region

Type: Feature Layer

Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolygon

Description: This polygon feature class contains HIGH, MEDIUM and LOW hazard zones for the dune-backed beaches of Tillamook County. This feature class contains the five scenarios of shoreline erosion recommended for use as future erosion hazard zones for the dune-backed beaches in Tillamook County. The polygons are slightly modified from the original scenarios from which they are derived due to local variations in topography and other parameters not incorporated into the modeling. The recommended zones include:High hazard zone includes a 2% TWLand a medium SLRprojected for 2030;Mediumhazard zone includes a 2% TWLand a medium SLRprojected for 2050;Low 1hazard zone includes a 1% TWLand medium SLRprojected for 2100. Low 2hazard zone includes a 1% TWLand high SLRprojected for 2100. Low 3hazard zone provides a worst-case future scenario, which may be of value to coastal communities when planning well into the future. It includes a 1% TWL, high SLRprojected for 2100 and erosion due to subduction from a CSZ earthquake.
